Very Proficient In English. Now What?

Yesterday my heart began to race when a friend sends something like this over MSN to me: “Did you get your Cambridge grade? I got F, I can’t believe it!”
He was pretty good in English. At least he got the top grade in all English-based subjects in High School, just like me. I immediately thought of the worst; that I would get a F too.
So I call home. From China. To Sweden.
And the unbelievable happened. I got an A! I was expecting somewhere around B, because I felt that I didn’t do so well on the oral part. After my friend’s bad news I was expecting to barely pass. Not only did I get A for a final grade, but was also graded Exceptional on the oral part.
The Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) is the highest certificate that Cambridge offers. Passing this means that you are on par with native English speakers. Passing with A means you’re probably better than many (most) natives. It is also noteworthy that this certificate is valid indefinitely, unlike other similar ones.
So… Now What?
I’m in China, I speak Mandarin fluently, and am now officially proficient in English. If anyone has any ideas of how I could use this situation to my best advantage, your input would be highly appreciated. ![]()

unfortunately, how the job market is now, without prior work experience (especially in country), it can be pretty hard to use your talents as so many people share them. However, if you aren’t going to be in China for a long time, you should pretty easily be able to find some freelance translation work…
