Night Life in China part 2

Most cities in China have a so called Bar Street or Jiu Ba Jie. Its where all the clubs are placed and the center of the nightlife. In Zhuhai you can choose between many bars along the street which is 1 kilometer or so.
The first bar on the Bar Street is Red Bar which is the most popular club in Zhuhai. It is one of the most expensive ones and plays international music (not necessarily MTV hits).
The club is always packed with people so its difficult to find a place to sit. There is a very small dancefloor and DJ’s who mix music still few people dance (This is not Shanghai or Guangzhou where clubs are packed with people on the dancefloors).
If you are a person who prefers rock, techno, dance this is not the club for you. The music played is mostly HipHop from different countries such as France, Egypt, American, Russian as well as some MTV hits.
Cohiba is a bar that lies on the end of the bar street. Its more like a Restaurant with a live band where they serve beer, cocktails and snacks. Its like a TGI Friday type of place with a Cuban theme. A nice place to hang out with before heading for the clubs.
Outside the bar street there is a Dance club which is located near Gongbei Port (Macau border). This is one of the few places that has a big dancefloor and people come there to dance. The place is huge and the dancefloor is packed. Prices here are much lower here than in Red Bar or MTC and people drink mostly beer. Music being played is mostly Cantonese pop and Chinese remixes and covers of famous western or Chinese songs. It is worthwile to take a visit to this club to experience real Chinese nightlife China style.

I have concur and say that it was quite an experience to go to a Chinese club in Shanghai where most foreigners did not go. You really get to hear some amazing music otherwise and get a better feel for what Chinese nightlife is like rather than through Western-populated clubs.
Red Bar is closed down because some off work ploice got beat up there and they shut it down.
Well of course Chinese night clubs are awesome and the best part is the cheap Tsingtao usually for 15 - 20 Kuai a bottle. The atmosphere is different and the crowd is hyped.
In the “western clubs” the music is more familiar with RnB and HipHop mixed with some classics that Westerners can relate too. Still it isn’t as fun and the Chinese people seem bored at those clubs and just sit there drinking their 50 kuai beer and stare at the Go Go dancers.
I know that Chinese clubs are considered clubs for peasants. But who said peasants cant party?
Ironically, I found the clubs in Shanghai (the “Western ones”) to actually be more techno music than RnB/HipHop which I was quite happy about since it was something I could actually /dance/ to.
so what are the names of some clubs outside of bar street? Do they play any trance? hehe
