Beach life in Zhuhai
Zhuhai as you know is a coastal city. Almost every coastal city has a place where you can relax and listen to the waves or take a bath from the hustle and bustle of the streets.
Even though Zhuhai might be on the warmer tropical hemisphere there are very few beaches. The biggest one lies in Jida district near the Mermaid. The beach has all the facilities one expects such as water bicycles, quads, speedboats and weird snack shops (these ones were totally weird).
The water is indeed a bit dirty and the waves are small (no windsurfing here). If you are a PADI diver there is nothing to see (I have checked No Fish and you wont see any thing because the water is so polluted).
Still its a nice place to hang out when its too hot or when you just want to cool yourself in the unfresh polluted water

“The water is indeed a bit dirty and the waves are small” Well, as you said ZhuHai is a coastal city. HOWEVER, the beaches that you mentioned are not really on the coast. Those are the river beaches.
ZhuHai sits on the coast but also it forms the western shoreline of the Pearl river. Most big rivers, much like those in the US (Mississippi, etc.) are quite muddy, Brown and therefore considered “dirty”. Dirty as in muddy is not pretty but it is not to be mistaken for dirty as in polluted.
And yes muddy water is not much for a diver/snorkeler to have fun in.
If you travel a bit to the southwestern part of ZH either on the shore of HengQin Island or out towards the airport I think you will find the beaches there a little more to your liking and a little bit “cleaner” but then again there are many off-shoots of the Pearl that have outlets all down the Zhuhai coast.
