Arriving in Zhuhai

Zhuhai doesn’t have a train station. I was planning on taking train to Guangzhou from Beijing (approx 22 hrs) and take the bus to Zhuhai. When I went to get the train ticked they told me that all the hard sleeper (hard bed to sleep on) were sold, and that they had soft sleepers (soft beds) left. Soft sleeper tickets cost the same as airplane tickets, so I ended up taking airplane which landed in Zhuhai directly. The hard sleeper train would have got me here for less than 500 CNY ($70 USD), the plane ticket cost 1490 CNY ($200 USD) one way. This was an unexpected cost.
From the airport I took the bus to the end station. From there, a very friendly lady (referenced as X in the future) from my favorite company (names omitted for privacy) picked me up. She drove a red BMW, which pleasantly surprised me.
First Few Days
A nice guy (referenced as Y in the future) from the company found me a hotel to stay temporarily. I called them to book 3 days a day before arriving, and everything went as planned. I stayed for 3 days.
Just as I arrive, I get sick. I get the cold and at the same time food poisoning. After a few days of pain and some medicine, I’m now cured of the food poisoning, and the cold is wearing off too.
During this short time X has taken me to dinner twice (once together with Y), she is very sweet and friendly. Apart from dinner with her, I’ve eaten once with another lady, also very friendly. She is the little sister of my mom’s best friend and has also helped me find an apartment.
